Finally putting an end to the rumors, the couple pulled our heartstrings and sealed the deal on 23rd January in an intimate ceremony with the presence of close family and friends at Sunil Shetty’s Khandala residence.
Although Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul, however, never confirmed their relationship officially, the duo often shared utter cues on social media about their love affair. Starting the pre-wedding celebrations with the sangeet night on Sunday evening, the couple tied the knot in the presence of a 70 people guest list. Keeping the family farmhouse as their wedding location, all eyes were on the outfit of the bride. A subtle pink Chikankari lehenga designed by Anamika Khanna in silk with zardozi and jaali work was just the eye-catching factor of the bridal look.
Athiya has extremely subtle and beautiful taste in fashion and always makes a style statement with her looks. The designer said, “I wanted to curate something special for the bride that was vibrant keeping the fact that she is going to be the bride, but she was never going to be one for whom everything else in the ceremony takes over. She has a supremely strong character, and I think she astutely knows it. We created an extremely fine piece of Chikankari, as well as jaali ka kaam with precise hints of Zardozi”. It is an old-rose color with a blend of metallic colors on the lehenga. It’s got elegance to it. You can see that there is no element screaming for attention, and still, it looks like it is just so her. The garment is enough to have all eyes upon itself.
